About Us

 

HERITAGE ACADEMY, founded in 1990, is an independent, co-educational, evangelical, non-denominational Christian school offering the full spectrum of grades from R to 12. The medium of instruction is English. The school has official registration through the Department of Education of KwaZulu-Natal and is an active participant in the Association of Christian Schools International (ASCI).

 

We place great emphasis on both missions and community service: our learners are encouraged to be a part of mission teams travelling both overseas and within Africa, while locally they are regularly involved in local projects such as collecting food, clothes and gifts for orphanages and disadvantaged preschools as well as ministering to old-age homes. Germany, Madagascar, Australia, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Swaziland, Indonesia, Singapore and Kenya are among the countries visited. Such exposure results in major transformation in the lives of the learners, impacting them forever and providing fertile soil for leaders, who will play a meaningful role in our changing world, to develop.

 

We set and achieve high academic standards, but more than that, we aim to instil in our learners a genuine curiosity and desire to engage with both their academic material and the world around them.
