The 20 year anniversary article.
Heritage Academy has become a familiar landmark in the green belt of Prestbury, Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, as you drive along Zwartkop Road either up to or down from Hilton.
The beautiful city of Pietermaritzburg, with its motto “The City of Choice”, is the capital city of KwaZulu-Natal. It has the infamous reputation of being the place where the now famous Mahatma Ghandi was forcibly removed from the train, but it is also the home of the world-renowned Comrades Marathon and Dusi Canoe Marathon. Not least among Pietermaritzburg’s other distinctions is that it is the birthplace and hometown of Alan Paton, the great South African author who wrote Cry, the Beloved Country and studied on the local University of Natal campus, where he was active in the Students Christian Association and from which he graduated with a distinction in physics (his other major being mathematics).
In the City of Choice, Heritage Academy is the School of Choice. Give us a call, pay us a visit, and experience the school for yourself. Limited vacancies are still available for 2011. Contact the admissions secretary for further information.
