Our Philosophy of Education

Heritage Academy is a Christian independent school which aims to provide a sound academic education for children. We use the standard curricula as our basis and underpin it with a Biblical world view in accordance with which children will be instructed in the Christian faith and in Christian discipleship.

 

Heritage Academy aims to assist Christian parents to fulfil the blessing and responsibility of raising and educating their children. The staff and management of Heritage Academy are an extension of the Christian home and family. We aim to create a nurturing, loving and stable environment with a strong Christian foundation.

We see each child as an individual who has different abilities, needs and responsibilities. We encourage and nurture our learners in a personal way to develop their gifts so that they might reach their full potential and purpose.

The purpose of education is to educate children for a life of obedience to their calling in this world as image-bearers of God. The calling is to know God and His Word and His creation, to consecrate the whole of their lives to God, to love their fellowmen, and to be stewards in their God-given commission.
